Benji Madden Explains Why They Scrapped The Good Charlotte Album

Benji Madden from the band Good Charlotte decided to scrap their latest project because he felt it was lacking “the magic” of their previous albums and he didn’t like the way it sounded.
Benji tells Kerrang! magazine:
“On every record we’ve made there has always been a clear moment where I just felt like we had captured the magic. But this time around I just didn’t get that feeling. I loved the songs, but that moment never came.
“Music is not like building furniture. There’s an X factor, an undetermined thing that makes it come together and, thankfully, that feeling has come back.”
Madden adds, ” Joel and I sat down before we started this record and decided we needed to really reconnect with our fans on this record.
“Our fans have really stuck by us through thick and thin and put up with all the s–t that’s out there and the whole rollercoaster we’ve been on. This record is for them. It’s going to be a moment between us and them and I think it’s the most personal and soulful record that we’ve made.”
The last album they released was in 2007 and the title was: Good Morning Revival. The rockers are now back in the recording studio and will be dedicating this album to their fans.
Steven Tyler Plans On Touring With Aerosmith In Europe

NEW YORK (AP) — After turmoil that included public squabbling, threats of a lineup change and a rehab stint, Aerosmith is back and ready to rock.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers have announced their “Cocked, Locked and Ready To Rock” European summer tour — with Steven Tyler.
The band made the announcement Thursday. It also posted a video on its Web site in which Tyler, sitting with the rest of the band, jokes: “I just auditioned and I got the gig.”
“We’re coming your way and rocking your world! Look out because here we come,” he says as he looks at guitarist Joe Perry and the group breaks out in laughter.
Aerosmith, which has been one of rock’s enduring bands over the past three decades, has been in limbo since Tyler fell off a stage during an August concert in South Dakota, injuring himself and forcing the band to cancel the rest of their summer tour.
After that, Perry expressed anger that the group had been sidelined and said Tyler needed to get his act together. For his part, Tyler was quoted as saying he was interested in going solo, and soon the band was talking about replacing Perry with another singer.
In December, Tyler checked in to rehab for a painkiller addiction, a problem he blamed on years of injuries suffered while performing with the band.
In an interview this week, bandmate Joey Kramer said: “Everything right now in Aero-land is very copacetic. … We will carry on and do what we do best.”
As far as their latest drama, he said: “The one common denominator that we still all have is that we all love to get up on stage and rock out, play music and bring joy to people. And we let the other drama, as of late, kind of filter itself out by the wayside and concentrate on more of what’s important, which is the playing and the business at hand. ”
The band, best known for hits like “Walk This Way,” has a long history of discord and overcame heavy drug abuse in the 1970s and early 1980s, but has been a mainstay in rock since enjoying a revival more than two decades ago.
Their tour starts in Sweden on June 10.

Rihanna Is Going To The Grammys “Alone”

“I’m going to the Grammys alone…I’m still single.” Rihanna dismisses reports she’s dating Los Angeles Dodgers baseball star Matt Kemp.
Matt has a controversial history – a former lover filed a restraining order against him. But the baseball star insists the court order, which was subsequently lifted, is a “non-issue.” His agent said, “Matt Kemp is a consummate Midwestern gentleman who has never displayed any act of violence towards a woman.”
Rihanna insists she won’t be taking the stage this year after she and Chris Brown caused the producers so much hassle in 2009. She says, “We messed their show up pretty bad last year. They might be a little mad at me.”
I think it’s a smart move for her to go to this years Grammy awards alone given it’s only been a year since Chris Brown beat her up.

R&B star Brandy is relaunching her career as a rapper under the moniker Bran’ Nu. The hitmaker has built up her career as a singer, earning three Grammy nominations for her vocal talents.
But she’s adopted the new stage persona for an appearance on superproducer Timbaland’s new album, “Shock Value 2,” on which she shows off her rhyming skills on the song “Meet in The Middle.”
And Brandy is enjoying the experience because it allows her to express herself in a different form: “What I’m doing on the album is a little bit different than what everybody knows me for. It was a great experience. I got a chance to be another part of myself.”
Wow…..this should be interesting.

Eldest sibling Jackie, 58, says, “For 40 years, we’ve had great support from our fans around the world. And we should give them a great tour.”
Jermaine, 54, adds, “We want to go out there, hit the road and just jam.”
The King of Pop passed away aged 50 in June after suffering a cardiac arrest.
Lenny Kravitz Denies The Aerosmith Rumors

Lenny Kravitz has shot down reports he is set to take over from Steven Tyler as Aerosmith frontman, insisting the singer is irreplaceable.
Tyler left the group earlier this year, announcing plans for a two-year hiatus, but his band mates are determined to continue without him and are currently considering replacement singers for a 2010 album and tour.
Former Geffen Records executive John Kalodner, the man behind the legendary group’s 1980s comeback, recently urged the crestfallen Aerosmith band mates to sign Kravitz to take over from Tyler.
However, although the rocker is “flattered” by Kalodner’s comments, he’s adamant he would never consider stepping into Tyler’s role.
On his Twitter.com page, Kravitz writes, “As much as I am flattered that Aerosmith’s camp would consider me to front the band, Steven Tyler is a family friend, and no voice could ever take the place of his. I hope the band stays together. They are classic.”
Chris Brown “20/20″ Interview With Robin Roberts Clip

In clips that aired on Good Morning America on Thursday, disgraced singer Chris Brown told ABC News’ Robin Roberts he understands the effects of his violent outburst on ex-girlfriend Rihanna last February, but is “really, like, a little devastated” that some music lovers have pegged him and his public apologies a total sham.
We wonder what give them that idea? Maybe because he’s an idiot?
“I think what it is when people see me smiling and kind of nonchalantly getting answers or, or saying things. It’s — I’m human, really, I’m like really hurting inside,” he said. “And it really kind of like is devastating to me.”
Chris also continued to distance himself from the Rihanna attack.
“I never ever had problems with anger. No, no domestic violence with any of my past girlfriends,” the young star said. “I never was that kind of person. … I look at it, and it’s really, like really difficult. It’s like, ‘How could I be that person?’”

Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber make light of Bieber’s fractured foot in this cute YouTube video of the two at Wembley Area in London. Bieber fractured his foot while performing his hit single “One Time” in front of 12,000 fans during a live show Monday night.
“Just got home from a wild night. I see alot of you are wondering what happened. Well I had a great show in front of a great crowd and in the last song ONE TIME, I tripped over something on stage coming down the ramp and felt my ankle roll in a very bad way. Turns out I fractured my foot and had to finish the song on a broken foot,” the 15-year-old Canadian sensation — who’s on tour with Taylor — explained in a Tweet early Tuesday.
Justin continued, “After I was done, I was in such pain that I skipped the encore and got off stage and back to see the medics. @taylorswift13 came backstage to see me b4 [sic] I went to the hospital because she is awesome! spent the rest of the nt in the hospital getting xrays and now a cast. Sucks. But don’t worry Manchester, me and @taylorswift13 = the show must go on!!”
