Our favorite artist of 2010 has just released a video for our favorite song off his debut EP Let’s Just Call It Heart Break! Could life get any better?

Zac Poor’s ‘Silver Screens’ is…well…a heart breaking tale of love lost. “Nothing’s like it seems, it’s all just make-believe.” Could somebody get me some tissue? I think we’ve all experienced this at some point in our lives and it sucks. Makes for a great song, though!

New Artist Spotlight: Marirose – I Want Love

In August of 2010, DJs Frankie J and DJ Alex of RnBSpot.com premiered a song called ‘I Want Love’ on their radio show and claimed it was an exclusive unreleased Rihanna track. The infectiously upbeat pop dance track quickly caught on and circulated online. To date, ‘I Want Love’ has been played over 201,000 times on YouTube alone, only 5 months after the song was originally leaked. Although the voice on the song sounds somewhat similar to Rihanna, to the surprise of many, it belongs to 15 year old emerging pop star Marirose.

‘I Want Love’ is an insanely addictive song that’s been stuck on repeat for days, despite the release of Britney Spears’ new single ‘Hold It Against Me’. Actually, play these two songs back to back and you’ve got yourself one hell of a dance party!

Not only does Marirose deliver an incredible vocal for someone who’s only 15, she also co-wrote ‘I Want Love’ with pop singer Kristinia DeBarge and producer Jordan Omley of The Jam.

Internet Celebrity and YouTube Star Michael Buckley featured ‘I Want Love’ this past week on his show What The Buck and viewers immediately took a liking to Marirose’s unforgettable vocal style. The word on Marirose as pop’s newest discovery is quickly spreading online and we’ve caught the fever!

Jessie J Named Brit Awards Critics’ Choice

Jessie J is an artist that we’ve quickly fallen in love with and we’re sure everyone will be hearing more of her name in 2011. Jessie J has been awarded the 2011 BRITs Critics’ Choice Award ahead of next year’s ceremony.

The Critics’ Choice Award is for new British acts tipped for mainstream success in the forthcoming year. In previous years it has been awarded to Ellie Goulding (2010), Florence and the Machine (2009) and Adele (2008).

According to the judges, 22-year-old Jessie J holds “the most incredible voice that will stop you in your tracks”.

Jessie J has been garnering buzz online with her debut UK single ‘Do It Like A Dude’ and now she’s preparing for the release of her debut US single ‘Who You Are.’ We first discovered Jessie J and her song ‘Who You Are’ in the movie Step Up 3D and were disappointed to discover the song was not listed on the movie’s soundtrack. It was such an incredibly moving song. We searched site after site trying to find out who’s amazing voice was singing such a beautiful song and finally came across Jessie J’s YouTube channel, but the song was no where to be found. Finally, here it is!

Meet Justin Bieber’s Opening Act, Burnham

Pop music is undeniably filled with the tunes of boy bands across the country, but we promise there’s something so different and unique about this one. The new hit boy group named Burnham sat down with Ryan Seacrest to discuss their rising success as pop music stars.

The band, Burnham, consists of three brothers named Alex (18), Andre (17), and Forrest (14) all of which are brothers who grew up in Vermont.

So what makes this group work? It’s that they provide something so different than what is out there right now. In fact, they label their music as “Rock Pop [instead of pop rock] because it is something different.”

As to their music, “we draw from inspiration, but we also kind of make up fun stories that are really cool.”

If you noticed, the brothers are very young, so how were they able to start so early? Burnham explains, “We went to this little music school in our town in Vermont and we just started taking lessons there and learning our instruments. That was basically the start.”

After their music schooling, Burnham caught their first break when they were introduced to “a friend of a friend of a friend who was a producer in New York City.”

Of course, these boys are still living out their childhood. They say they “piss each other off, but we’re brothers.” At the end of the day, they are ordinary teenagers who are obsessed with their music and even girls! But not to worry, Forrest quickly adds, “I’m open” while the other two “kind of got the love feeling going on.”

As the boys move on their journey to pop stardom, they can’t help but keep in mind their dream. What’s the dream? The dream according to Forrest, the 14 year-old vocalist, is “to do exactly what we are doing now.”

So where do they go from here? You can catch Burnham as the opening act for Justin Bieber on his “My World 2.0” tour. Forrest describes this experience as “we are living the dream, man.” Couldn’t have said it better ourselves!

Ellen Signs Another Artist To Her Record Label

In fact, she’s just signed on teen singer Tom Andrews as the second performer on her label, eleveneleven.

If you recall, Ellen’s first artist signed was YouTube star Greyson Chance.
