Heidi Montag “I’m not a Rihanna”

In a recent interview with MTV, Heidi Montag says she’s no manufactured star like Rihanna.
“I really wanted to go back to when The Beatles and Michael Jackson used to make albums. They spent years on making albums because they wanted the quality to be so good, they wanted the sound to be so good, and that’s really what I did. I’m brining it back to that old mentality of music and how it should come out.”
“I did everything step-by-step, whereas a Rihanna is just given a song, she sings it for a couple of hours and then walks out and then her album comes out”.
“I, literally, the last three years, have been in studios almost every day, and I’ve put more into this than anyone could possibly comprehend. I have spent all my money. I am literally broke because I did this independently.”
I wonder what Rihanna has to say about this..

Lady Gaga Says Fans Were Her Favorite Artist In 2009

“My favorite artists of 2009 are my fans… My fans are fucking really smart, they’re art students, they’re club kids. Some of them are just normal top 40 listening kids in high school who don’t feel like they have an identity yet and they’re searching for one.” – Lady Gaga
Jesse McCartney Back In The Studio For New Album

Jesse McCartney sat down with MTV to discuss his upcoming album. McCartney is heading back into the studio and says that he hopes to work with Ludacris again on the new album.
McCartney says –
“Yeah, I have some ideas in mind [in terms of collaborations], but those things always come together last-minute. We’re working on a few things,” he told MTV News. “I know that I might work with Ludacris again. That’s maybe a possibility, and he’s great — he’s one of my favorite rappers … and he’s amazing to work with.”
“It’s gonna be kind of a continuation of Departure, but maybe a little more R&B slightly. You’ll get the chance to hear what’s going on in my head right now and a little … more personal.”
“It’s a little bit more raw,” he explained. “But still rhythmic and upbeat. It’s still soulful. I’m still kind of writing it all out. I don’t want to give too much away.”

Kings of Leon won Woodie of the Year and Green Day took home the Best Performing Woodie at the 2009 MTVu Woodie Awards, which brought together a cross-section of established and breaking artists Wednesday night (Nov. 19) at New York’s Roseland Ballroom.
Although neither band was in attendance, Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool accepted their award by video.
Indie darlings Matt & Kim kicked off the show — which celebrates the year’s best music as determined by MTVu’s college-centric audience — with an energetic performance of their breakout single “Lessons Learned.” Later, the duo returned to accept their Best Video Woodie award.
“We’ve had one heck of a year,” said Matt Johnson, before counterpart Kim Schifino leapt into the crowd.
Additional performers included veteran alt-rockers Death Cab for Cutie, who rocked the audience with its “New Moon” soundtrack single “Meet Me on the Equinox,” as well as Passion Pit, the Dead Weather and Clipse, who were joined onstage by fellow rappers Cam’ron and Rick Ross.
Presenter highlights came from Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz and pop prankserts 3OH!3. Wentz rolled onto the stage holding a red Solo cup, while 3OH!3 gave a nod to Lady Gaga by dressing in her various VMA outfits. Asher Roth, will.i.am, and surprise guest Cyndi Lauper also presented awards.
While Kings of Leon and Green Day won the top prizes, smaller acts took home statues as well. Never Shout Never’s Christofer Drew Ingle and Missouri rapper Tech N9ne earned the Breaking Woodie and the Left Field Woodie, respectively.
The Woodie Awards air Dec. 4 on MTV Networks.
MTV Gains Rights To Michael Jackson Documentary

The network that introduced millions to Michael Jackson will air his final performance.
MTV Networks has acquired the exclusive U.S. television rights to the posthumous documentary “Michael Jackson’s This Is It.”
MTV helped boost the singer’s career into the stratosphere during the 1980s by airing Jackson’s music videos.
Sister networks such as VH1, BET and Palladia also will have rights to air the film.
“This Is It” was shot from March to June and includes concert rehearsal and behind-the-scenes footage as Jackson prepared for his planned comeback stand in London.

The Jonas Brothers paid tribute to the King Of Pop Michael Jackson at the MTV Europe Music Awards on Thursday. The pop trio revealed that ’60s-’70s sibling band The Jackson 5 were their first major musical influences just before they introduced a tribute piece to the late “Thriller” hitmaker, during which Jackson fans performed hits like “ABC,” “Bad,” and “Man in The Mirror” in front of the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin.
According to The Brothers Jonas, listening to the Jackson 5’s “I’ll Be There” as kids inspired them to develop their own band of brothers.
“This year we saw the loss of the greatest pop musician the world has ever seen. We and MTV wanted to pay tribute to the true king of pop, Michael Jackson. His unrivalled talent has shaped the musical landscape, influencing artists old and young,” Nick Jonas told the live audience.
“The first time we heard Michael’s voice was when our dad played the Jackson 5’s I’ll Be There,” Joe Jonas chimed in. “We were amazed by the one-of-a-kind talent. The way that he and his brothers came together to entertain the world has been an obvious influence on us. Michael Jackson influenced every listener and every future performer with a talent the world had never seen before. As a writer and a performer he was the best.”
