Justin Bieber Accuser Still Wants DNA Test, Says New Lawyer

With her paternity lawsuit against Justin Bieber reportedly dropped, Mariah Yeater now is trying to pursue her claim out of court.

“This matter is not over,” Jeffery M. Leving, who says he’s one of Yeater’s new lawyers, tells WGN-TV in Chicago. “Negotiations are going on right now with Bieber’s counsel. There’s a new legal team [in place.]”

Yeater, 20, still “believes Justin Bieber is the father,” he adds. “We’re trying to secure a private DNA test, because this case is out of control.”

Leving adds that Yeater has been receiving death threats and that he fears for her safety. “I don’t want something terrible to happen to my client or her child,” Leving says.

“My goal, when a DNA test is completed, is to keep everything confidential, which will be difficult if not impossible,” he says. “I’m very concerned about this.”

Bieber’s spokesman Matthew Hiltzik has not commented specifically on the reported withdrawal of the case but says, “As we’ve said from the beginning, it’s sad that someone would fabricate such a malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false claim. We’ll continue to consider all of our options to protect Justin.”

According to AOL’s Stylelist, Bieber has teamed up with Nicole by OPI to design for a collection of nail polishes that will hit stores just in time for the holidays. Among the primary colors on tap are One Less Lonely Glitter (lavender), Prized Possession Purple (grape), Give Me the First Dance (silver), Me + Blue (dark blue), OMB! (bright red) and Step 2 the Beat of My Heart (heart-shaped glitter). The first six shades will be available in December, with eight others to follow in January.

After debuting exclusively at Wal-Mart, the shades will then be available at Target, Sears and other mass merchandisers in February. That’s not the only Bieb schwag that will be hitting stores over the next few months. The singer has his first book, “Justin Bieber: First Step 2 Forever: My Story,” out in stores on October 12, a bevy of Halloween costume options, his upcoming line of dolls (also due in December) and his in-process 3-D concert movie, slated for release on February 11.

If none of those is up your alley, Bieber has plenty of other gift ideas in his official store), from a set of Christmas cards ($30), to a full-size cardboard stand-up ($35), aluminum water bottle ($15), a lunch box ($30) and rubber bracelet ($10).

Pink ‘Seriously Sore’ From Harness Malfunction During Show

During a concert in Germany, Pink was injured when her gear malfunctioned and dragged her off the stage and into a steel barricade.

“I’m so so so sorry to end the show that way,” she wrote. “I’m embarrassed …I’m in ambulance now but I will b fine. Didn’t get clipped in2 harness correctly, drug me off stage, fell in2 barricade…I hope it at least looked cool!!!”

An hour later, Pink, 30, assured fans, “nothing’s broken, no fluid in the lungs, just seriously sore.”

Courtney Love Has Lost Temporary Guardianship

Courtney Love has lost temporary legal control of her teenage daughter Frances Bean Cobain.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ.com, the singer’s 17-year-old child with the late Kurt Cobain has been placed under the care of the Nirvana star’s mother, Wendy O’Connor, and sister, Kimberly Dawn Cobain.

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge signed off on the legal papers on Friday, placing O’Connor and Cobain in charge of Frances’ personal and financial well-being. Love was not present for the hearing.

However, the pair has no authority to touch the Frances Bean Cobain Irrevocable Trust of 1997, which was set up to help provide for the girl after Cobain’s death.

As WENN went to press, it was unknown why the guardianship was transferred. Court proceedings have been sealed.

The order will remain in place until February 10, 2010.

Cobain was found dead in his Seattle, Washington home in 1994, aged 27, and his passing was officially ruled a suicide from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Whitney Houston’s Wardrobe Malfunction On X-Factor

Whitney Houston served as a guest mentor on Britain’s The X Factor on Saturday and sang her latest single, “Million Dollar Bill,” on Sunday’s results show.

About two minutes into the song, a strap at the back of her dress broke!

While Houston made one brief attempt to adjust the rebellious strap, she quickly returned her full attention to the song, and seemed to take the mishap in stride.

“I sang myself out of my clothes,” Houston joked.

If your phone rings in the middle of the night and the called ID says Katy Perry, she’s probably drunk dialing you, so don’t answer!

That’s exactly what happened to Taylor Swift last month. Perry rang her up at 3 or 4 in the morning and Swift actually answered. Swift apologized profusely for answering and hung up so Perry could call back and leave the drunk message. Swift said the message was “a very colorful and creative, unique voicemail.”

Dancing With The Stars Curse Singer Mya Injured!

Dancing with the Stars contestant Mya is the latest victim of the show’s mythic curse. She even had to go to the hospital!

Mya updated everyone on her Twitter to explain her injury:

“Went 2 the hospital late last night 2 get stitches. Deep cut from glass. Only caught 2hours of sleep but feel great. Must be adrenaline.”

“Nothing to worry about. Just an ugly slice on my finger-not the first time I’ve had stitches. I’ll be just fine. Thanks4the concern.”

I love how she says, “Nothing to worry about.” I would be freaking out.

David Hasselhoff Rushed To The Hospital

David Hasselhoff was taken to the hospital Sunday night. TMZ.com has learned that David’s daughter Hayley called her mother Pamela, claiming that her dad was extremely drunk. Apparently Pamela’s friend called 911 and an ambulance was dispatched to the Hasselhoff’s house in Encino, California.

David Hasselhoff’s reps have not commented yet, and there is no word if he was released from the hospital.
