GaGa3 1

Lady Gaga is on the cover of the new issue of NME magazine baring her soul for the world to see that the media and anyone else can tear her apart, strip her down to the core and what’s left is pure talent. She’s no manufactured pop princess, y’all!

“Let me tell you something. If you fucking rip my hairbow and my wig off my fucking head, my shoes, my bra, every single thing on my body, and you throw me on a piano with a microphone, I will fucking make you cry.”

“I’m not going to start churning out what you expect. If you want me to be a manufactured act, you can f*** off.”

And there you have it!

On performing while pregnant: “It was horrible. Certain songs would make me want to puke. You feel pretty gross when you are first pregnant. You don’t feel cute, you feel disgusting. You’re getting fat. It was hard. I mean, I’m very vain. That would be my middle name. Of course I am, you know what I mean? I love the visual.”

On whether Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Katy Perry have taken a page out of her playbook when it comes to style: “Really? I don’t see myself in those girls. I usually put pants on. I see these girls as more going for the sex-symbol thing. I was more, in the band, like a tomboy. Of course, I think every girl is sexy, so there’s going to be a little of that. But I see a lot of younger artists going more toward the sexy thing.”

On pop music: “When we were growing up, some of the hits were legendary ones that you hear your whole life. But certain songs, I don’t know if you’ll ever hear them again. Because that’s what that music is, like a guilty pleasure, it’s right at the moment. It’s like fashion—it’s now, then it’s gone.”

On writing hits: “I do! Why wouldn’t you want that many people listening to the songs that you wrote? There’s no way to go back after you have had it. So the intentions of even the solo records were always about trying to write those guilty-pleasure albums that just get in your head and you can’t get out. I’m not cool, I’m not into the B-sides. Prince, who is one of my idols, gave me some advice when I worked with him: “Have you ever just tried writing a hit? Like, don’t just try writing a song, try and write a hit song.” I remember him saying that and me thinking, Yeah, you’re right. Why would you write anything else?”

On her marriage to Gavin Rossdale: “The first time we ever kissed was right around Valentine’s Day—we were in New Orleans on tour. So, yeah, I always think about that because it’s unbelievable that we’ve been able to stay together. I feel so proud of us—it’s one of my biggest achievements.”

Rihanna Rolling Stone 2011

I didn’t realize it until now, but this is the first time that Rihanna has been on the cover of Rolling Stone. And she looks hot! I love that big red hair on her. She owns it!

Interesting that Miss Britney Spears isn’t on the cover to promote her new album out today…

Joe

Joe Jonas is looking…um…hot on the cover of the new issue of Details Magazine. In the magazine, Joe talks about is upcoming solo music career. Joe has been working closely with Rob Knox who is part of The Y’s production team with Justin Timberlake.

“I look at Joe’s scenario as kind of like when Justin Timberlake broke out of ‘N Sync,” says Rob Knox, a producer working on Joe’s solo project who previously teamed up with Rihanna and Jamie Foxx. “Justin was 21 when he came out as a solo artist. Joe is coming to producers who know how to create that edgier pop feeling. We’re not doing any boy-band songs.”

“I wanted to do something you could hear in a club or something you could dance to,” says Joe. “Something that’s fun—something that’s me. I think it was definitely because I was getting older…”

On sex before marriage:
“I don’t think you should have sex with anyone unless you love them. I think you should just wait for the person you’re…in love with.”

On being a Canuck:
“You guys are evil. Canada’s the best country in the world. We go to the doctor and we don’t need to worry about paying him, but here, your whole life, you’re broke because of medical bills. My bodyguard’s baby was premature, and now he has to pay for it. In Canada, if your baby’s premature, he stays in the hospital as long as he needs to, and then you go home.”

On politics:
“I’m not sure about the parties. But whatever they have in Korea, that’s bad.”

On abortion:
“I really don’t believe in abortion. It’s like killing a baby? [In instances where the pregnancy is from rape] Um. Well, I think that’s really sad, but everything happens for a reason. I guess I haven’t been in that position, so I wouldn’t be able to judge that.”

What do you say when a guy is on the cover of a magazine? If it’s a girl, you say that so and so graces the cover, but what about a guy? And what if the guy is Justin Bieber? I mean, a lot of people think he looks like a lesbian with that short shaggy hair do, so I guess it’s ok to say graces.

Justin Bieber graces the cover of the new issue of Vanity Fair. Seems only fitting that the teenager would be covered in lipstick. Looks like Selena Gomez got a little carried away with the pubescent pop star.

Taylor Swift Graces The Cover Of ELLE Magazine

Taylor Swift on Elle Magazine

Taylor Swift will be gracing the cover of ELLE Magazine in April.

She suggested in her interview that she may be writing some more songs about her ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas. Joe dumped Swift in 2008 over a 27 second phone call.

Here’s what she had to say:

She tells Elle magazine, “I like to categorize the various levels of heartbreak. I’ve only had that (had her heart broken) happen once. A letdown is worth a few songs. A heartbreak is worth a few albums.”

John Mayer Tells Playboy Magazine “I Consider Myself A Good Guy”

Johny Mayer Shirtless

John Mayer may have had a string of celebrity beauties, such as, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Jennifer Aniston, but he wants to let everyone know he doesn’t think he’s such a bad boyfriend or a terrible guy.

He tells Playboy magazine, “I consider myself a good guy, with the best of intentions. Anyone who has been in a relationship with me would stand by the fact that I’ve never been callous. I’ve never been a bad boy. I may have taken someone through the wringer psychologically, but I’ve never been sinister.”

Mr. Mayer….we still think you’re a playa.
