As we mentioned the other day, Lil Wayne will undoubtedly be an even bigger star when he gets out of jail. Wayne and his team have devised a business plan that will keep the rapper in the limelight while he’s behind bars, so fans won’t have to feel the lose while he’s put away.

According to Digital Spy, Lil Wayne shot nine music videos this past week with director David Rousseau!

“We shot some s**t from the We Are Young Money compilation album, we shot something from [Wayne's forthcoming] Tha Carter IV and some stuff from [Wayne's new album] Rebirth,” Rousseau told MTV News.

“Everybody is on board because everybody knows what’s at stake. Unlike T.I. and some of these other guys that’ve disappeared while they were in, the point is to keep Wayne [visible] on TV and everything for whatever time he’s in. He’s at the height of his career, you can’t let that momentum slip.”

I’ve got to give it to him, he’s not as dumb as he looks…

Lil Wayne arrived in a Manhattan courtroom today where his lawyer, Stacey Richman, informed Judge Charles H. Solomon that the rapper is suffering from a cracked tooth and needs to postpone his sentence. The judge agreed and ruled to reschedule for March 2. Lucky bastard.

I have a feeling this all part of Lil Wayne’s plan. He’s got more business to take care of before he ends up behind bars for a year.

Wayne already has an entire new album worth of material ready to release and it happens to be a rock album, which will officially make the rapper a crossover artist. According to Donnell Alexander of NPR Music, “They [Wayne's Record Label] are moving from their headquarters in New Orleans to New York, to be close to him while he’s at Rikers Island.” It will be business as usual for Wayne’s label while he’s behind bars. He may come out even bigger than he was before he went to jail.

After serving only seven months of his one-year sentence for a felony weapons conviction, T.I. was released from a federal prison yesterday.

According to E! News, Steve Shadow, T.I.’s attorney, says that the rapper will report to a halfway house in Atlanta for the remainder of his sentence.

“[A halfway house] is not unusual in the least; it happens across the board as long as the inmates are eligible,” Sadow said, noting that T.I. also got credit for time served in home detention. “They decided that three months in a halfway house would assist him with reentering society.”

At least T.I won’t be spending the holidays behind bars. I wonder if they put up a christmas tree in the halfway house.

Music producer and convicted murderer Phil Spector says life behind bars is driving him “insane”.

He wrote a letter to a fan which was posted on Gawker.com, in the letter it reads, “This 24/7 lockdown life is slowly driving me insane and killing (me),”

Spector complained that he was unable to say goodbye to anyone, or organize his business affairs before going to prison.

“How cruel but apparently not unusual,” Spector wrote. “And they call this a ‘civilized’ society. Bugs live more civilized beneath their rocks!”.

Spector, who revolutionized pop music in the 1960s with his “Wall of Sound” production technique, was convicted in April of the 2003 murder of actress Lana Clarkson and later sentenced to a minimum of 19 years in prison.

Singer Fergie has been hit with a copyright infringement lawsuit over allegations she stole her song Voodoo Doll from a track recorded by little-known reggae group Groundation.

The singer and her Black Eyed Peas bandmate will.i.am, who produced and co-wrote the 2006 tune, are being sued by record bosses at Grounded Music.

They claim the stars copied the beat from Groundation’s Each One Teach One, a song recorded in 2000 which Grounded Music owns the rights to.

According to legal papers obtained by TMZ.com, Grounded Music executives believe Fergie’s Voodoo Doll is “substantially and strikingly similar” to the band’s record and they are seeking unspecified damages.

Voodoo Doll was featured on Fergie’s debut solo album, The Dutchess.

tila tequila shows off injuries

Tila Tequila let the paparazzi snap shots of her bruised arms and neck yesterday which seem to prove that San Diego Charger Shawne Merriman did a little more than stop her from driving home drunk. This also explains why the DA’s office brought her in this afternoon and are reviewing the case, according to TMZ.

According to 10News.com, the fight that lead to Merriman’s arrest last weekend after Tequila walked into his bedroom she found him with two other women. After the NFL asked her to join them, Tequila stormed out and threatened to have sex with one of his friends, that’s when Merriman allegedly tossed the 4-foot-11-inch star to the ground and began violently choking her.

Last month, Brown was sentenced to six months community service and five years probation after pleading guilty to beating Rihanna in his rented car after a Pre-Grammy Awards Party in Los Angeles last February. The picture created shockwaves after it was published on celebrity website TMZ.com months later. Police launched a probe into the leak and two female officerss – one based at the Wilshire Area station, the other at Hollenbeck Area – are now reportedly under suspension for selling the flick to TMZ, according to a scoop from TheEnterpriseReport.com.
