SHE SAID WHAT? – KATY PERRY EATS BIRTH CONTROL PILLS LIKE CANDY

Katy Perry is so scared of having a baby she constantly consumes contraceptives to avoid any possibility of pregnancy. She split from Gym Class Heroes star Travis McCoy last year. She is too focused on her career to even consider the possibility of starting a family.
She said: “I love being in love, I love the idea of marriage and making babies – but not yet. Not until I’m 30. I basically chew my birth control tablets – I chew them like vitamin C, I’m like, ‘nomnomnomnom.’”
She said in an interview with Paper Magazine: “It’s one of those things where I have no energy left to give to anybody. It doesn’t matter if I love them or not. I give it all away on tour and when I’m meeting people.”
“This is a really important time in my life. During the next two or three years, if I do things right, I will have a real career, and if I don’t, well, I’ll just be that girl who kissed a girl.”
Katy is pleased with her success – her single “I Kissed a Girl” was at the top of the U.S. charts for seven consecutive weeks – but is worried her “15 minutes of fame” could soon be over.
She added: “There are about five hundred other girls who are trying to and dying to be in my position – I can’t take anything for granted. It’s all about work – it has to be. I learned everything from reading the Madonna autobiography.”

JAY-Z OFFERS AMY WINEHOUSE HELP ON HER NEXT ALBUM

I am starting to wonder if multi-grammy winner Amy Winehouse will ever be able to put out another album. According to The Sun, Jay-Z is pretty interested in helping Winehouse and is willing to take on the huge mess that she has become.
Jay-Z told The Sun, “Amy has a really powerful voice, it is so distinctive and beautiful Hopefully in the future we could get together and work on some new material – I’d love to work with her again.”
I don’t have much hope for Amy, I hope she can get her sh** together. Her sophmore album, Back to Black, was the world’s seventh biggest selling album for 2008.

CARRIE UNDERWOOD WANTS TO BE A REPORTER??

Grammy winning, multi-platinum recording artist Carrie Underwood is nominated for a plethora of awards at the 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on April 5, including Entertainer of the Year prize. OK! Magazine caught up with Carrie and heres what she had to say, including what she would probably be doing if she didn’t win American Idol.
What’s it like to be the only female in the Entertainer of the Year category?
I just never thought that it would happen. But I feel like there are so many other women in country music who have been overlooked over the years. I wish it was more normal to see a woman in the category.
You have quite a collection of awards already. Where do you keep them all?
I have a curio cabinet in my living room that houses them all.
How many dresses do you try on when choosing an awards show outfit?
It depends on how many I’ll be wearing during the show. I should keep count — I might surprise myself.
Who’s your pick for Idol this season?
I never publicly announce my favorites because they’re under enough scrutiny already without me adding to it. I do have a favorite, though, and I do vote!
If you hadn’t won American Idol, what do you think you’d be doing right now?
Your guess is as good as mine! I was planning on going into journalism — maybe I’d be the one asking questions for OK! magazine! You never know…
