Good question.
Just stumbled upon a video of Alain Clark on YouTube and was immediately sucked into his cover of The Script’s ‘Breakeven’.
Looks like he’s a Dutch pop musician and producer who released his self titled debut album in 2004. He’s produced a few of the Dutch Idol winner’s and has success on the charts. Now he’s taking over YouTube with his cover videos. Check him out below…

Los Angeles police say they’re investigating an alleged domestic violence felony battery report involving Chris Brown, who turned himself in around 7:15 p.m. PT at the Wilshire Division station.
The police department says in a release that the 19-year-old R&B singer and an unidentified woman, believed to be his girlfriend, R&B star Rihanna, were in a vehicle in the Hancock Park neighborhood early Sunday when they began arguing.
Police say Brown and the woman got out of the car and the argument escalated. The woman identified Brown as her attacker; officers say Brown wasn’t at the scene. Both Rihanna and Brown’s performances at the Grammys were canceled without explanation.
A message left for Brown’s representative seeking comment wasn’t immediately returned.

According to Hollyscoop.com, LAPD has officially named Rihanna as the victim in the Chris Brown assault case.
Brown turned himself into the Sheriffs Department at 6:30PM EST accompanied by his attorney Mark Geragos and Geragos’ investigator, Scott Ross. He was being held on $50,000 bail.
“He turned himself in around 7 p.m. to one of our stations and is being interviewed by detectives now,” Officer Karen Smith confirmed to People.
The pair drove into a parking lot behind the police station on Venice Boulevard just east of La Brea Avenue in a black Cadillac Escalade. They entered through a back door where a posted sign read “authorized personnel only.” Police are expected to release a statement later this evening
Both Brown and Rihanna canceled their performances at tonight’s Grammy Awards.
According to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, Chris made bail and was released at 8:35PM. He is due in court on March 5.

Rihanna has abruptly canceled her planned performance tonight (Feb. 8th) at the 51st annual Grammy Awards at Los Angeles’ Staples Center, according to an announcement from the Recording Academy, which did not provide further details.
Al Green, who won two R&B Grammys during the pre-telecast, will reportedly replace Rihanna in the lineup.
Speculation is rampant that the cancellation is connected to an incident that occurred early this morning involving Rihanna’s boyfriend, R&B star Chris Brown.
The Los Angeles Police Department is seeking Brown on a domestic violence felony battery report after he began arguing with the unnamed passenger in a car, said to be Rihanna. The argument escalated after they exited the vehicle but Brown wasn’t at the scene by the time police arrived.
JENNIFER HUDSON WINS FIRST GRAMMY ; CHRIS BROWN INVESTIGATED

By NEKESA MUMBI MOODY, AP Music Writer –
LOS ANGELES – A tearful Jennifer Hudson won her first Grammy, thanking her family “in heaven and those who are with me today” to kick off an evening already stoked with drama when police said they were investigating double nominee Chris Brown for an alleged assault on an unidentified woman.
Brown and longtime girlfriend Rihanna, each nominated and slated to perform, separately dropped out of the Grammys at the last minute and their whereabouts were not immediately known Sunday night. The victim of Brown’s alleged assault wasn’t identified, and it wasn’t immediately clear whether Rihanna’s absence was related to Brown’s.
Hudson, 27, made no direct reference to the killings of her mother, brother and nephew that kept her in seclusion until just this month. But while fighting back tears, she made it clear that her family was foremost on her mind.
“I first would like to thank God who has brought me through,” said Hudson, also an Oscar winner, as she accepted her award from Whitney Houston.
Hudson later performed “You Pulled Me Through,” a dramatic song about overcoming deep despair, with the lyrics: “When I was drowning, when I was so confused, you, you pulled me through.” As she sang the last note, she looked directly into the camera and dissolved into tears once again.
While Hudson’s emotion was front and center, drama unfolded behind the scenes when police said just 90 minutes before the show began that they were investigating the 19-year old Brown. His performance was subsequently removed from the show, though it was unclear if he bowed out or was dropped.
Then, minutes before U2 opened the telecast by zipping through its new single, the Recording Academy said Rihanna had scratched her performance as well. The couple could be seen sitting together at a Grammy pre-party the night before in Los Angeles.
According to the police report, Brown and a woman were in a vehicle in the ritzy neighborhood of Hancock Park when they began to argue around 12:30 a.m. Sunday. Brown stopped the car and both got out, whereupon the argument escalated, the report said.
The woman, who had visible injuries when police arrived, identified Brown as her attacker, but he had left the scene, the report said.
The absences of both performers put a huge hole in the Grammy telecast, but the Recording Academy found able replacements in Justin Timberlake, Al Green, Boyz II Men and Keith Urban as they all sang Green’s classic hit, “Let’s Stay Together.” No mention was made on the broadcast about the switch.
With all the drama going on onstage and behind the scenes, the awards seemed almost like an afterthought — but the awards went on all the same. Coldplay, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, and Lil Wayne each won three apiece — Coldplay’s win included song of the year for “Viva La Vida.”
“We’ve never had so many Grammys in our life,” said lead singer Chris Martin, perhaps so excited he got confused (they had already won four over the years). “We feel so grateful to be here. I’m going to tear up.”
British singer Adele was also teary, as she beat the Jonas Brothers, Lady Antebellum, Jazmine Sullivan and fellow Brit singer Duffy to nab best new artist. It was her second award of the evening.
“Thank you so much. I’m going to cry. I want to thank my manager, my mom, she’s in London. And Duffy I love you. I think you’re amazing. Jonas Brothers, I love you as well,” she said, saying the last part with a devilish look, eliciting laughter.
It was Adele’s second award; she earlier won for best female pop vocal.
Lil Wayne was the nominations leader with eight, and won best rap solo performance for “A Milli,” rap song for “Lollipop” and rap/sung collaboration for “Swagga Like Us,” an all-star song featuring Jay-Z, T.I. and Kanye West.
But the prolific rapper won’t be going home with eight trophies; he was competing against himself in two categories that he won and lost another. He still has a chance to win the evening’s top prize, album of the year, for his best-selling disc “Tha Carter III.”
Plant and Krauss, also nominated for album of the year for their collaboration “Raising Sand,” took home an award for country collaborations with vocals and contemporary folk/Americana album. They later won a third for pop collaboration with vocals.

Rumor has it that Britney’s suffering paralyzing panic attacks.
According to the British tabloid, The Sun, “Every time there is a crisis, Britney screams and cries and locks herself in her room.”
They go on to say “She has been telling her doctor she feels under pressure and ill when she thinks about touring. She is worried about being on the road without her kids, and fears that her performance will be branded a flop.”
After all she’s been through, will she pull through? I think so.
BEYONCE CATFIGHT!

RARRRRRRR!
Etta James has quite a set of claws and she’s digging them into Beyonce. Who could possibly have anything against Beyonce!
Looks like Etta’s not at all pleased with Beyonce singing ‘At Last’ at President Obama’s inauguration. Some of you may be too young to know, but Etta was the original singer of ‘At Last’…and then again, some of you may only know Etta because of this song…
Not only did she take a stab at Beyonce, but she also poked fun at our new President! Not cool. At a recent show, she went on a rant and said to the crowd, “You guys know your president, right? You know the one with the big ears? Wait a minute, he ain’t my president, he might be yours, he ain’t my president. You know that woman he had singing for him, singing my song — she’s going to get her ass whipped.”
And it didn’t stop there. She went on to say,”The great Beyonce. I can’t stand Beyonce. She has no business up there, singing up there on a big ol’ president day, gonna be singing my song that I’ve been singing forever.”
Do you guys think Beyonce will take a stab back? I think she’ll be the lady and take the high road gracefully.

MILEY CYRUS & TAYLOR SWIFT TO DO A DUET AT THE GRAMMY’S

Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift broke the news yesterday on the Ryan Seacrest morning show on KIISFM. Taylor told Ryan that she knew when she was conceptualizing her performance for the show, she had to get Cyrus onboard.
“We all came to the consensus, ‘Wouldn’t it be cool if Miley was up there too?’ ” Swift told Ryan Seacrest when she and Cyrus called into his radio show on Tuesday morning (February 3). “And she said yes, and we’re really excited about it.”
The two will be singing Taylor’s song “Fifteen.”
“The lyrics are very inspiring,” Cyrus added about the song. “A lot of girls are inspired by us, so this song is us giving our advice. … This song is pretty perfect for the Grammys.”
Taylor and Miley have HUGE fan bases, so I’m guessing this was the Grammy’s attempt to get people to watch the show this coming weekend since no one seems to be tuning into awards shows lately…
CHECK OUT – THE SCRIPT

If you haven’t already heard of The Script, you’d better check them out before everyone else does!
The Script are an Irish trio (Danny: vocals, Mark: guitar, Glen: drums) whose music boasts the kind of artful twists sure to turn all preconceptions on their head.
This is a whole new brand of Celtic Soul, blending hip hop lyrical flow with pop melodiousness, state-of-the-art R’n'B production with anthemic rock dynamics, classic song construction with gritty contemporary narratives.
It’s got all the emotion and passion you would expect from across the Irish sea, but it is glittering in its modernity, universal in its singalong addictiveness and global in its syncopation, music for the feet, heart and head. Think U2 versus Timbaland, Van Morrison remixed by Teddy Riley.
“Irish people have soul,” according to Danny. “It comes from generations of pain, and generations of understanding emotion to be able to physically get that in a solid sound.”
BRITNEY AND KIDS WILL TOUR

It was reported yesterday that Britney would cancel her upcoming Circus tour if she was not allowed to travel with her two sons.
Thankfully, Britney, her dad Jamie, and Kevin Federline have been working out a plan that would create 3 different homes for the kids to be stationed in Los Angeles, New Jersey, and New Orleans. Kevin would also receive his own place in each city as well as an extra $4,000 a week while Britney is on tour.
Kevin’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, is not at all happy with the way the talks have been going, which is likely to do with the fact that he hasn’t been a part of them. He believes the situation could have been handled better if Jamie Spears had “manned up” and spoken to Kevin with his attorneys present.
Kevin’s team says that they’ll work on re-wording the deal and will most likely make it all work out.
